Can we just remind all parents and carers that the school gate will open at 8.40am for you to bring your children into the playground.
School staff will be on duty from this time, however it has been reported by local residents that some of our children have been throwing mud and rocks through the fence into Doe Park before school.
Please support our staff and community by letting a member of the Lakeside staff team aware if you see any such incidents.
Can we kindly ask that all parents and carers do not park in front of the gates or in the bus stop, when bringing and collecting children from school. Also, parking in the staff car park is only permitted by anybody that has been given a permit from the school office or holds a blue disabled badge. If you do need to park in the carpark on a temporary basis then please speak to a member of the office staff, who will be happy to arrange this.
Please remember the gates will be locked at 3.00pm every evening and re-opened at 3.30pm.
We would like to thank all parents/carers who are continuing to park safely outside school.
School uniform with the new logo can now be purchased for September from http://www.school-shop.co.uk
We do not expect all pupils to be wearing new uniform and if you would still like to buy uniform with the current logo then there are some items still in stock, including coloured PE t-shirts.
We are going to Switzerland next year with 2nd Methodist Scouts and we need to raise some money at school as one of our activities.
We would really like to take advantage of the lovely weather and sell ice lollies at school during the week commencing 9th July for the whole week. The ice lollies will be on sale during break times and will cost 50p each.
Thank you for your support.

Bowling and a pizza treat
Thanks to our very successful Santa’s apprentice winners, (‘Merry Madness’), the year 6 pupils were treated to a morning of bowling and then a very well deserved pizza back at school. All the children had a great time and there was some very impressive scores!
A huge thank you to all the parents and children who either provided materials or their time and creative skills to the York
bloom project that Mrs Reynolds was running in school.
The results were amazing and much appreciated, don’t forget to go and take a look at the finished article at York library.
Lakeside is a nut-free school
Please can we remind all parents that we have several children in school with severe nut allergies. Therefore, please be extra vigilant when sending food into school for snacks and packed lunches.
