Re: Year 5/6 Puberty Education Programme
As part of our PSHE curriculum, we have a responsibility to educate our children about puberty and next half term our class will study important lessons on ‘Our Changing Bodies’, ‘Our Changing Feelings’ and ‘Emotional Health’, the early stages of puberty which many year 5 and 6 pupils are beginning to experience.
Mrs Reynolds will be delivering the Always Puberty Education Programme which focuses on the physical and emotional changes that occur during puberty. They begin with a science based, girls only lesson on the female reproductive system and periods, followed by 3 whole class units on how our bodies and emotions can be affected by puberty.
These lessons will start the week commencing Tuesday 5th June and will continue for 4 weeks. If you would like to look at the resources or have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Mrs Reynolds or have a look on https://www.always.co.uk/en-gb/puberty-education-resources.
