Our School Day

Our school is open for pupils for 32.5 hours per week.

The doors will open at 8:40am with school starting at 8:45am and the register taken at that point.

Morning Session

8.45 am – 11.45 am Reception and Key Stage 1 classes
8.45 am – 12.30 pm Key Stage 2 classes

Afternoon Session

12.30 pm – 3.10 pm Reception and Key Stage 1 classes
1.15 pm – 3.10 pm Key Stage 2 classes

The school doors open promptly at 8.45am each morning and staff greet their classes outside at the collection areas.

A break time rota is in place for break time duties. Lakeside has no afternoon break, however classes are encouraged to complete a short physical activity.

During lunchtime our team of teaching assistants and midday supervisors are in place to maintain the smooth operation of the playground and dining hall.

At the end of the school day, Key Stage 1 and Early Years pupils are collected by parents and carers from their class teachers, whilst pupils from Year 5 upwards are allowed to leave school by themselves. Written permission must be given into the school office for them to do this.
